Estimated, bid, and managed construction projects for private and public clients.  Typical value of projects $100k-$2M.  Normal workload was managing two projects while also estimating/bidding one additional project. Construction projects included commercial tenant improvements, water damage repairs to a health clinic, 15-unit affordable housing development with underground utilities on a remote island, and seismic improvements to an occupied city hall.

Katerra Inc. was an international general contracting company focusing on pre-assembled construction and mass timber technology. Typical American developments were 200-unit mid-rise structures utilizing concrete, steel, and mass timber construction. Combined project workload value of $150M.

Managed general contractors for civil construction projects on behalf of municipal clients. Roles included Inspector, Documentation Control Specialist, Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager.  Achieved consensus among many project stakeholders including federal agencies (Army Corps, Federal Highway Administration,) state-level authorities (Dept of Ecology, WSDOT), public and private utilities (Seattle City Light, Comcast, local water districts), and municipal clients. Typical projects included construction of underground utilities (public and franchise), roadways, traffic signal and illumination systems, and retaining walls. Project values ranged from $1M to $16M.
